New York's finest storm the streets in a flurry of vibrant colour

NYFW might be increasingly overshadowed its showier Fashion Week sisters Milan and Paris, but at its heart lies the gritty, streetwear and denim loving rollcall of models, US fashion editors and fashion girls that we've come to admire. And while Paris and Milan have their fair share of Gucci, Dior and Saint Laurent, at least you can always rely on New York girls to be brave with colour and daring with trends. Thanks to the splashes of '80s brights and '90 checks, street style on the first few days of NYFW was by no means a boring affair.

And judging by the acid tones at NYFW's buzziest two shows (so far) Tom Ford and Calvin Klein, we'd say that colour is still a definite yes this season. Wear them with those "groundbreaking" florals for spring ;)
