We recap the S/S '18 collections of three of the most buzzed about brands Jacquemus, Dior and Saint Laurent

Three French label with very diverse, but no less Gallic sensibilities opened Paris Fashion Week, calling to mind the myriad ways one can imagine womanhood today. First, we had the self-taught wunderkind Simon Porte Jacquemus and his enduring fascination with his mother and the breezy glamour of the South of France (he grew up just outside Marseilles). Second, Dior's girls, imagined by Maria Grazia Chiuri were frivolous and youthful in layers of sheer tulle, denim and baker boy caps, berets and bowler hats. Lastly, Anthony Vaccarello's take on Saint Laurent 2017 oozed sexiness and party-girl confidence in scandalously short skirts and hot pants, plus puffed up sleeves and voluminous minidresses.
