As NYFW kicks off the craziness of Fashion Month, we take a look at what some of the models are wearing on the streets

It's day one of NYFW, so the streets are (understandably) mostly quiet, safe from humdrum of bloggers, buyers, editors and street style snappers keen to document the action. Thanks to Tom Ford's Monday 8pm show, we caught a glimpse of the week's first dose of high-wattage glamour, but as any fashion lover will tell you: what happens off the runway is just as telling.

While we wait for rest of the fashion pack to descend on New York, we thought you might want to take a look at what the models are wearing, as they flit between shows and fittings. While you could argue that the days of Alexander Wang's brand of model-off-duty style (ripped skinnies and biker jackets) still kind of in place, take this as an example of how to style sneakers with this season's beret and how to wear sports jerseys without looking like, well, an actual sports fan. Watch this space for more updates.
