The 4 moments you missed from Givenchy S/S ’16
Paris via New York
Givenchy's S/S '16 show =was a landmark moment for many reasons (the stage, the NYC setting, the styling!), but here we bring you the top four highlights.
1. With New York's iconic skyline as the backdrop, Givenchy's presentation also fell on a historic day: September 11. In honour of the date, creative director Riccardo Tisci chose a Pier26 location overlooking the Memorial of Light and erected a set made of recycled wood and shipping containers.

2. As we reported earlier this year, performance artist Marina Abramović was on board as artistic director of the show and she shared a note with guests about the significance of the setting, materials and music. With several different performance artists sprinkled throughout the set and live singers - it was a romantic ode to love and remembrance.

3. The epic 800-strong guest list consisted of Givenchy front-row staples Kim K and Kanye West, plus Carine Roitfeld, Julia Roberts, Courtney Love, Nicky Minaj, Amanda Seyfried, Jeremy Scott, Christina Ricci, Ciara, Erykah Badu and more.

4. Carrying on the trend for Victorian face jewellery we saw in Givenchy's A/W '15 collection, Pat McGrath's elaborate masks featured beading, jewels and delicate wisps of lace masks for a softer, more romantic take on the look - perfect for S/S '16 and the theme of love.
