As the Michael Kors A/W '16 collection prepares to drop into stores in early August, we prep your wishlist with a review of our favourite runway moments
It wasn't difficult to find something to covet at Michael Kors' A/W '16 presentation. The runway teemed with quintessential New York glamour girl looks - a mood and aesthetic that's intrinsic to the Michael Kors DNA. Classic without being boring, pretty without being frou frou, and cool without being inaccessible - the Kors girl for autumn/winter 2016 successfully mixed fur, brocade with chain mail detailing, ostrich plumes and even sequins and embellishment with winter staples like wool and denim - all without missing a beat.
Thanks to a parade of It-girl faces old and new (Freja Beha Erichsen, Kendall Jenner, Julia Nobis, Ruth Bell, Imaan Hammam) and runway favourites (Maartje Verhoef and Mica Arganaraz), the Michael Kors girls were a modern, diverse and thoroughly outward looking bunch. And with a stylish launch into wearable tech scheduled later this year, isn't that exactly the right positioning for a global brand in 2016?
The Michael Kors A/W '16 collection will be available in stores in August.
