Any style project Jonathan Anderson turns his creative hand to goes directly to the must-have list and his most recent collaboration with Uniqlo is true to covetable form

When a Japanese casual wear brand meets a quirky British designer label the fashion results are epic yet still wearable and affordable - which is exactly what Uniqlo and JW Anderson were aiming for when they collaborated on their forthcoming collection. Speaking to WWD, Irish-born designer Jonathan Anderson said, "The point of doing this collaboration was that I believe in democracy in fashion. What I hope will be achieved is that any age demographic can pick up and find something within the collection to relate to. Doing something with Uniqlo means you come up with a wardrobe which is universal and quirky."

Uniqlo is known for their casual, basic, affordable staples that work in pretty much any wardrobe whether you're male, female, young or not so young and Anderson is known for his unique modern British aesthetic, which has translated to a womenswear and menswear collection combining the best of these two worlds, think: tartan puffer jackets, classic trench coats, duffle coats, fair isle sweaters, striped tees, cashmere dresses, ruffle wrap skirts and clever, covetable tartan accessories.
