The sugar-and-spice model was in her element at the launch of her pre-fall Frame Denim capsule collection, an event with a decidedly retro spin. Held at the Empire Diner in New York, Kloss served up coconut and almond milkshakes, kale chips, avocado toasts and sweet potato fries, toting trays and serving the A-list fashion crowd - dominated by Kloss' model crew - herself.
Frame Denim started collaborating with Kloss back in 2012, after finding out that the leggy former ballerina struggled to find jeans that fitted. The resulting Forever Karlie capsule collection consists of a skinny jean and flare, with a boyfriend jean and cropped style now added to the line.
Says Frame Denim co-founder Erik Torstensson: "I've done a lot of collaborations before in other ways, and I was really surprised by how much time Karlie gave us to work on this. It really is Karlie's product. She is so smart about what she likes to wear and what the customer needs to wear. Frame always has one foot in the '70s-the women were so beautiful and feminine, a real straight man's woman!-and Karlie just ran with that."
