If you haven't personally discovered the work of streetwear-meets-high-fashion design outfit Vetements, you've surely been influenced by them. The Paris-based design collective (helmed by Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia) might not make the kind of ready-to-wear that everyone can afford ($2,000 jeans, anyone?) but that doesn't stop every millennial under the age of 40 coveting a pair of their repurposed denim jeans, cigarette lighter heels, floral dresses, logo hoodies and tees or even - yes, those much-copied raincoats.
Arguably one of the most influential labels in fashion at the moment, this myth-making crew of cool kids and creatives has opened up their world and immortalised it in a new book. Titled simply Vetements (duh), the coffee table tome features behind-the-scenes shots, mood boards and other insightful glimpses into the most zeitgeist-y brand around.
Brought to you by London's Idea Books, the limited edition book is available now from Stylebop for $59. If you know anything about the brand's pulling power, it will sell out. Head to stylebop.com/au to buy.
