It's hard to believe there was once a time when all Amazon had on offer was a collection of paperback and electronic books. Now you can find just about anything on the eCommerce giant, like this $4 headband that channels the AW/17 Altuzarra runway, or this pillow with Ryan Gosling's face on it. Today the giant has an agglomeration of stores and services under its ever growing umbrella, including a private electronic line and wholefood delivery. It comes as no surprise that Amazon is one of the largest online retailers in the world, and now the bar has been raised once more.

The eCommerce powerhouse this week announced the launch of their first private fashion line, The Fix, an accessories line of shoes and hand bags based off designer trends, without a designer price point.  Handbags are currently priced from US $49, with shoes beginning at US $69. Being a fast fashion label with a high consumer demand, each collection will be updated monthly.

The launch of The Fix comes after news last year that Amazon is coming to Australia by the end of 2018. Australian's can already purchase products from Amazon and have these shipped from one of the brands many overseas locations. Right now, even before next year's launch, Australians spend between $500 and $700 million each year on products purchased from Amazon.

At the moment, The Fix is only available to Amazon Prime members (who can shop the collection here), however now that Amazon have their foot in the fashion door who knows what else they have up their sleeve.

Best foot forward: Amazon has launched its own accessories line
