Talk about sports luxe: see Pharrell Williams' new Adidas collection
Opulence plus
The musician-turned-fashion-designer chanced upon the inspiration for his new collection while traipsing through le Marché Saint Pierre, Paris' historic textiles market. What caught his eye? Two lustrous vintage jacquards, intricately woven with metallic thread. The two fabrics adorn his latest reworking of the classic Adidas Stan Smith design, which follows hot on the heels of the Supercolor Superstar Pack he produced with the brand in March.
Taking sports luxe to a whole new level, the Jacquard Pack spans two limited edition unisex Stan Smiths - one coated in indigo blue with pink, red and gold embroidery and the other in cream with red, green and gold embroidery - plus a cropped Superstar LIL'Jacket, which sets the Adidas three-stripe design against the opulent jacquard print.
Williams isn't the only one unleashing his creativity - High Snobiety and About Now joined forces to produce the below quirky GIFS using the Jacquard Pack campaign imagery. We're pegging it as the next trend in digital photography - Tyra Banks has form too, investing heavily in Flixel, an animated picture app that featured in last year's America's Next Top Model.
