The Italian heritage jewellery house announces the opening of a new boutique on the Gold Coast

Though founded in 1884, the Roman luxury goods brand Bulgari has an unmatched contemporary audience. Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor were captured in iconic black and white photographs draped in Bvlgari jewels in the 50s - Taylor once told the New York Times that when her lover Richard Burton would take her to the Via Condotti boutique, "I used to get so excited that I would jump on top of him and practically make love to him in [the store]," - and in the noughties, the precious creations have found favour with the millennial crowd, glinting from the Instagrams of Kendall Jenner, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Olivia Palermo. So it goes to serve that any fashionista -  young or old - worth her Serpenti will rejoice at the news of the newly opened Bvlgari store in Pacific Fair Shopping Centre on the Gold Coast.

Inspired by 2700 years of Roman architecture and Mediterranean origins, the new boutique, sprawled over 150sqm is realised in ancient marbles and stones, typical of Roman buildings with square-patterned walnut parquet floors and a Murano crystal chandelier - luxurious finishes that speak to the house's grand history. For those who prefer to peruse their gems in privacy, a VIP area will be concealed behind a sliding bronze latticework screen.

And if you're simply looking to admire some of the house's most exquisite and valuable creations, the in-house art gallery is a must visit alongside iconic collections of jewellery, watches and accessories and one-of-a-kind High Jewellery masterpieces.
