Go for gold: Nike and Balmain's creative director Olivier Rousteing reveal an exciting new partnership

If you've ever wanted to own a piece of Balmain, but were put off by the thousand dollar price tags and/or crazy H&M shoppers - now's your chance to redeem a piece of Olivier Rousteing history. The French creative director has parlayed his lifelong love affair with football (that would be soccer, to the Aussie ear) into a collaboration with NikeLab. He's named it 'Football Nouveau' and it's part of Nike's second Summer of Sport series.

Featuring slick, reimagined versions of Nike staples such as a football jacket, tee and football boots (attn: sneaker freakers, there's four types to choose from), NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing bears the unmistakeable Balmain designer's luxury designer touch. Sticking to a palette of black (for chic timelessness) and gold (for the win - duh), Rousteing's vision for the collection is elegant and, yes, very sports luxe. French soccer stars Blaise Matuidi and Laure Boulleau have been appointed campaign stars for the brand, and you can watch the video below to see more behind-the-scenes info about the collab.

The NikeLab x Olivier Rousteing is available from June 2 from nike.com and NikeLab stores. Visit news.nike.com for more details.

Is this the fashion/sportswear collab of your dreams?
