Kaia Gerber is to Karl Lagerfeld what a handbag is to women. The sixteen year old modelling prodigy opened Chanel's S/S '18 runway show, walked in the brands' couture catwalk and is currently co-designing a capsule collection for Lagerfeld's eponymous label. And now Gerber's muse-status has been cemented even further with Lagerfeld inviting the genetically blessed teen to front Chanel's S/S '18 handbag campaign.

The black and white campaign images were shot by Lagerfeld himself in Coco Chanel's former apartment located above Chanel's Parisian flagship store, and feature Gerber spawned across Mademoiselle Coco's suede sofa. In the campaign, Gerber showcases the transparent PVC handbags that were made famous in Chanel's S/S '18 show, as well as the brands signature Gabrielle and Boy handbags.

With campaigns for Marc Jacobs, Calvin Klein and now Chanel under her (incredibly stylish) belt, Gerber's fashion resume is beginning to challenge some of the most experienced of top models. Which begs the question: what had you achieved when you were 16 years-old?
