Burgeoning model Kaia Gerber just proved she can play the perfect Miu Miu girl in the brand's new eyewear campaign and video

Man, those Gerber kids should be thanking their parents right now. Fresh off the back of big brother Presley's appearance on the Dolce & Gabbana runway over the weekend, 14 year old Kaia Gerber proves she can wear Miu Miu like a true Hollywood ingénue in the luxury house's latest eyewear campaign.

Shot by director Francesco Maria Tiribelli and creative directed by Joakim Dahlqvist, the languid five-minute video shows Cindy Crawford's daughter Kaia lounging and swimming in a pool in an unnamed location (we're thinking Palm Springs?) and donning the label's signature butterfly sunglasses. Cinematic in style, it's been shot in a way that beautifully captures the blinding sunlight and haziness of a hot summer's day, and serves to highlight key pieces from Miu Miu's S/S '16 accessories and ready-to-wear collection. (A few of the poolside shots also remind us a little of the work of Aussie artist George Byrne).

Even though Kaia is just 14 years old, the burgeoning model is fast carving a name for herself as high-fashion's favourite teen for hire. Cindy's mini-me has already been shot by Steven Meisel for Vogue Italia, appeared in super stylist Carine Roitfeld's CR Fashion Book, landed an Alexander Wang campaign... oh yeah, and then there's that Paris Vogue cover with her mum. While most of us shudder to think what we were doing at 14 (and also what our school photos looked like - eek), if you're feeling inadequate right now, it's worth remembering one thing: Kaia's mum is a supermodel.
