Following the departure of former creative director of three years, Rodolfo Paglialunga last month, Jil Sander has announced its newest appointment of husband-and-wife duo Luke and Lucie Meier.

Luke was the ex-head designer of streetwear label Supreme and co-founder of OAMC and wife Lucie was the co-designer of Christian Dior following Raf Simons' departure, before Maria Grazia-Chiuri stepped into the role. Lucie also spent five years at Louis Vuitton with a stint at Balenciaga alongside Nicolas Ghesquière.

Following the departures of the brands namesake founder, Heidemarie Jilne 'Jil' Sander - three times in thirteen years - and Paglialunga's in March, the appointment of the Meier's is a directional one that proves to shake up the sleepy fashion house.
