Is this Riccardo Tisci’s first post-Givenchy move?
#TheBuroDaily
Fresh from his shock departure from Givenchy last week, Riccardo Tisci proves he's still adept at creating lust-worthy product. In what is now the fourth instalment of a fruitful collaboration with NikeLab, Tisci has revealed a brand new Nike trainer that's sure to get the hearts pumping of sneaker freakers around the globe.
Named the Dunk Lux Chukka x RT, the trainers are modelled off '80s basketball and skate culture - which means moulded lines and a mid-top silhouette. Cut in leather and available in two very-Givenchy colour ways (black/white or white/red), the designer apparently drew on his love of basketball during his high school days in Italy.
"I think the Dunk has something that's very special. It's grounded in sport as well as in the street style culture," he told High Snobiety. "For younger generations it can fit as many different styles tribes as you can imagine. I think it's one of the most iconic shoes that Nike has ever created."
And with new Nike face Bella Hadid starring alongside Tisci in the campaign, we're sure both sleek versions are set to become collector's items when they hit NikeLab stores on February 23. Until then, visit nike.com/au/en_gb/c/nikelab for more details.
