First Demna, now this; If all eyes weren't already trained on the dynamic brand courtesy of its innovative new creative director, they soon will be following the announcement of not one but two retrospective exhibitions announced for this year.

'Balenciaga: Working in Black' will run at the Musee Bourdelle in Paris through to July 16 and 'Balenciaga: Shaping Fashion', to open at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London in May - the brands first exhibit in the UK. The palette choice of the former best showcases the clean, modern lines and sculptural silhouettes of the label, a favourite hue of founder Cristobal Balenciaga who constructed even working toiles in black muslin while other designers traditionally used cream.

For those who will be in town for either exhibition, expect exquisitely-crafted garments and iconic styles from even more iconic photographic prints.
