The anticipated match made in cool-girl heaven has finally been revealed

It's no secret that  a collaboration between Selena "The Most Followed Woman on Instagram" Gomez and Coach has been in the works for some time now, hailed as the perfect match of youthful ease meets All-American positivity.  Since re-emerging from her public and social media hiatus last year, Gomez has been rocking a major style reboot -from streamlined tailoring to chic, minimal looks and of course a heavy dash of cool-girl Cali style. Of course, this has come with plenty of Coach in tow - which was actually her first designer purchase as a teen, believe it or not.

Overnight, the first images of the Autumn 2017 campaign have dropped, promising to disappoint no one.  Created with a dream team of epic proportions - photography by Steven Meisel, styling by Karl Templer, creative direction by Fabien Baron, makeup by Pat McGrath and hair by Guido Palau, no less, the campaign sees Gomez lounge inside a chic vintage 1976 Plymoth Fury, mid roadtip, the open road ahead of her, no doubt. ""Selena is a rebel and a romantic, a dreamer and a doer who boldly charts her own course," Creative Director Stuart Vevers said in a statement. "To me, she speaks to a generation; she connects."

But also, it wasn't just the all-American styling that attracted Gomez to the brand, and visa-versa, it was a meeting of values, says Gomez. "Having the opportunity to grow creatively by working on a design collaboration and reaching so many girls through the Coach Foundation is important to me and I love that Coach is supportive," she said, noting a common value in the importance of mentoring and empowering young women. "That is what instantly drew me to working with Coach after we had our initial meeting," she mused. "Earlier this year we spent the day visiting schools with the Step Up organization which Victor works very closely with. Days like that is why I love my job." As for her favourite pieces?  A cropped shearling jacket, with embroidery and an embroidered dress.

Following the reveal will be the release of three short films starring Gomez and created by Baron & Baron, each dedicated to a bag of the season: the Rogue, the Coach Swagger and the Edie. We're letting you know now, because no doubt you're going to want to add at least one to your want list...
