Hermès Surfers Paradise is 21 this year. And as tradition goes, it has taken possession of a brand new set of keys... and a shiny new address. Yep, in news that will set any fashion-loving Queenslander's heart aflutter, tomorrow marks the unveiling of Hermès Surfers Paradise's brand-new address - in Broadbeach's sprawling shopping complex Pacific Fair. The centre, which already boasts the likes of Louis Vuitton, Tiffany & Co. and Prada is the perfect new home for the iconic French luxury brand.

In the move, the new Hermès store has happily expanded to 200 square metres (double the floor size of the former space), taking up an entire corner of Pacific Fair's ground floor. And like all Hermès products, the store's attention to detail and craftsmanship is reflected in the chic Australian sandstone exterior and vast floor-to-ceiling windows - the perfect platform to showcase the brand's famously enchanting window displays.

A step inside the cavernous space reveals more quintessentially Hermès details, such as the Hermès ex-libris etched onto a mosaic floor; cherrywood panelled walls and horsehair-covered seating (a nod to the house's equestrian heritage). There's also a space dedicated to the house's silk, perfume, jewellery and home collections, plus a dedicated area for ready-to-wear, shoes and watches which can also double as a private appointment room.

Designed by Parisian architecture agency RDAI, the store naturally aligns with the understated elegance of other Hermès stores around the world, but has accents designed to complement the airy design of the Pacific Fair shopping complex. We think it's the perfect excuse for a trip to the sun-flecked shores of the Gold Coast, don't you?

Hermès Surfers Paradise opens on Wednesday, July 13. For more info on the brand, visit australia.hermes.com
