The Kooples is one of those brands that if you know, then you know. It's sharp, sleek,  French contemporary-cool, vintage rock 'n'roll vibes with a refined finish and made to be worn (and shared) in pairs. Think: Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe, Bianca and Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and Anita Pallenberg, Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin -couple dressing at its best. Just take a look at their real-couple campaigns shot from relationships-you-wish-you-were-in.

This week, The Kooples will open its first Australian store (the French site doesn't ship here, so this is kind of a big deal) in Melbourne's  St Collins Lane precinct, also home to Coach, Sandro, Zadig & Voltaire. Opening on June 3, the brand's only Australian store will offer both The Kooples  and cult basics  off-shoot, The Kooples SPORT collections.
