If you're not familiar with Adelaide-based design duo Daniel Emma's gleaming brass paper weights or minimalist desk objet d'art, you'll want to be; one of the Australian design industry's leading lights, their aesthetic is clean but a little bit quirky, polished but also organic.
In other words, their design sensibility is perfectly in line with that of COS, home of the ultimate crisp white shirt and understatedly elegant wardrobe. So it was only a matter of time before the two got together as they now have, on a three-part installation to be divvied up between the COS Martin Place, Westfield Bondi Junction and Strand Melbourne stores.
Daniel Emma used the COS white shirt as their starting point for the work: "In the Australian winter often our house is strewn with miscellaneous objects that we use to hang clothing out to dry. It is one of the only times we have our shirts on display at home rather than in a wardrobe. This installation is our version of this everyday scene." If only all our living rooms looked this chic on rainy days.
