Talk about pretty in pink - Gucci's new pre-Fall 2016 campaign features gloriously quirky clothes and the addition of some fabulous pink flamingos

By now, your senses have probably adjusted the wildly creative cacophony of Alessandro Michele's Gucci collections. Retro-tinged, bold, inventive and achingly cool, the just-released images and video of the Pre-Fall campaign present the best of Gucci's aesthetic, in typically madcap fashion. Bespectacled models lounge in an aviary, decked out with oriental rugs, chaise lounges and vintage books (a nod to the styling of past Gucci shows) as long-legged flamingos flit around prettily.

Filmed by Glen Luchford, who memorably shot the Gucci S/S '16 campaign featuring another exotic bird - a peacock tucked under the arm of a Gucci-clad skater boy - the pre-Fall shoot and accompanying video is equally surreal in tone and direction. From the fur-lined It-loafers to the stacked knuckle dusters, lurex skirts and and floral corsages, the clothes and accessories are a riot of colour, pattern and texture - everything you'd expect from a Gucci collection, really. Watch the video below and tell us you're not mentally adding a few items to your wishlist...
