Sleek, modern and natural. That's been the aesthetic driving Giorgio Armani for the past 40 odd years, so when looking for the ideal photographer to capture the four models in the brand's latest campaign - Liu Wen, Liya Kebede, Elisa Sednaoui and Amanda Murphy - Peter Lindbergh was an obvious choice.

The German photographer has worked with Armani for many years, and notably shot last season's S/S '16 campaign featuring '90s supers Eva Herzigova, Stella Tennant, Yasmin Le Bon and Nadja Auermann. Famed for his striking, black and white portraits of models, Lindbergh captures the natural beauty of these four women from very diverse cultural and geographical backgrounds. The campaign promotes Armani's ultra-classic line women's New Normal and was shot on the Plage du Touquet beach in northern France.

"I wanted to show different types of beauty, without barriers - four young women who experience the present in their own ways," explains Armani in the press release. "With my style, I have always wanted to communicate the idea of concrete, real elegance, and this campaign renews this message with a sense of absolute modernity."
