Birkenstocks, they're fashion's most controversial shoe, but whether you love them or hate them, you can't deny they're comfy as heck! This is exactly the philosophy that has brought luxury fashion concept boutique Kirna Zabête to release a limited edition style of the slide. Designed in patent red and fuchsia, we have never seen the imprinted sandal look so good.

Writing to Instagram, Beth Buccini (the name behind the boutique) wrote: "Many are surprised about my love for a great @birkenstock! But I'm a lifelong fan." The post continued on to say that come September, particularly during fashion week, "It is so hard to go back to 'real shoes' after spending most of August in my Birkenstocks!" The style is designed based off Birkenstocks most iconic style, the 'Arizona,' in 'Kirna Zabête red' and fuchsia, which was the original colour combination of the concept stores logo when it was foundered in 1999.

The exclusive pair are currently available online at Kirna Zabête and will be available via Birkenstock and Farfetch come Thursday. Kirna Zabête also stocks a handful of quirky Birks including purple metallic, shearling lined and neon pink.

The Birkenstock movement has been making its triumphant comeback for a few years now. Seen dressing the feet of Alexa Chung and Miranda Kerr, the brand also collaborated with luxury retailer royalty, Collette earlier this year.

It's the comeback of a lifetime. Resistance is futile, don't try to fight it.
