Take a closer look at Chanel's 2016/17 Métiers d'art collection, shot under the lens of Karl Lagerfeld

Last December, amid the French opulence of the Ritz Paris, we stole a glimpse of Chanel's 2016/17 Métiers d'art collection. As friends of the house like Cara Delevingne, Pharrell Williams, Lily-Rose Depp and Lottie Moss strode through the salons, guests were treated to a series of romantic looks which were inspired by the cosmopolitan spirit of the legendary hotel.

A love letter to the artisanal talents working behind-the-scenes at the French house, this season's Métiers d'art collection featured ostrich and maribou feathers, intricacies like sequins and crystals, as well as Chanel signatures like tweed, faux pearls and skirt suits.

The campaign for the collection was shot by creative director Karl Lagerfeld and features key pieces from the collection, which will be available in Chanel boutiques from June, chanel.com/en_AU. Click through the gallery above to see the beautiful pieces.
