Spring wardrobe begging for a refresh? The latest collection from H&M's premium line is hitting all the right sartorial notes

Looking for a slick and directional take on tailoring, lightweight knitwear and functional-yet-cool workwear? Give H&M Studio's latest collection a proper look and we promise you'll be pleasantly surprised. The Swedish high fashion retailer, while usually known for its affordable trend pieces, has released images of its upcoming A/W '17 range, and even though we're headed into spring, there's plenty to be excited about here.

With quality fabrications (think wool, satin, jacquard, chiffon and stretch twill), the H&M Studio capsule has taken cues from the uptown-meets-streetwear vibes of New York City. Featuring the '90s-inspired checks that seem to be everywhere this season alongside light-as-a-feather knits with button detailing and structured day dresses, don't be fooled into thinking this is a strictly winter collection. These are pieces that are perfect for the trans seasonal shift from icy winter days to crisp spring nights. And really, if we're being honest with ourselves, we won't be pulling out the summer dresses until at least November... Oh, and did we mention there's a men's collection too? Yep, equal opportunity all round.

The H&M Studio collection hits selected stores from September 14, prices range from $54.99 to $299.99. Visit hm.com/au for more info.
