Athleisure, sportswear, gym gear - whatever you want to call it - is proving to be an extremely popular style of clothing, especially amongst teenagers. So it makes sense that Nike was voted the single most popular clothing and shoe label amongst the millennials, according to the Piper Jaffray's 33rd Semi-Annual Proprietary Teen Research Project.
Nike was number one not only in the sportswear choice, but any type of clothing apparel AND the number one footwear label (by a mile). Vans, adidas, converse and Steve Madden followed after as the most popular shoe labels of the moment.
Clothing saw a mixture of athleisure brands like adidas and lululemon as well mass clothing brands like American Eagle and Forever 21.
For Handbags however, teens are turning towards luxury/premiere labels, with the frontrunner being American designer, Michael Kors. The top 5 chioces also consisted of Kate Spade, Coach, Longchamp and Louis Vuitton.
