The fashion world took a collective gasp when Lily-Rose Depp, the 16-year-old daughter of celebrity couple Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis, stepped into the spotlight as a guest at the Chanel Métiers d'Art show in March. The breathtaking beauty's ascension to stardom was instant - helped, of-course, by the fact that she seems to have inherited both her mother's beguiling looks and her father's acting chops.

Now, fresh from appearing alongside Lara Stone, Julianne Moore, Kristen Stewart and fellow celebrity daughter Lily Collins in Chanel's casino-esque couture show in Paris, the news we were all holding our breaths for is in: Depp has been named the fashion house's latest face, appearing in a new eyewear campaign shot by Karl Lagerfeld himself.

"Lily-Rose is stunning, she's a young girl from a new generation with all the qualities of a star," Lagerfeld has said in a release. Depp follows in the footsteps of her model mother, who posed for Chanel from 1990.

All signs are indicating the teen isn't just a pretty face, however: Depp's quirky Instagram account suggests she's inherited a healthy dose of her father's eccentricity, and she's set to star alongside him in a new movie, horror-comedy Yoga Hosers, due for release later this year.
