Kate Moss, perennial cool girl and subject of endless style Tumblrs, tabloid stories and anecdotes is moving in a new direction. After 30 years of putting her face (and name) to brands as diverse as Calvin Klein, Chanel, Burberry, Topshop, Charlotte Tilbury, Rimmel, Longchamp and Equipment, the 42-year-old supermodel is going all in with a new business. And surprisingly, it's not another clothing line or even a beauty brand: nope, it's a talent agency.

She's even gone so far as to leave her old modelling agency, Storm, to set up her new business. "It's a grown-up thing," she says told Business of Fashion. "I felt like I wanted to do things that were more than modelling. It didn't matter how much we would try and do it together with them, I was always going to be the little Kate that they've known since I was 14. It was like leaving home. I had to leave, and they were very understanding about it. They were like, 'Yeah you've got to go now, we've done as much as we can do.' I wanted to spread my wings."

Utilising her status as one of the most stylish (and copied) women in the world to push product is one thing, but actually finding and backing talent is another. That said, you don't stay at the top of your modelling game for three decades without having an innate understanding of how fashion and trends really work. And if there's anyone who understand having the It-factor, it's Moss. "It's a dream! It's so weird," she says. "But I want to focus more on managing people's careers than just [running] a modelling agency. I don't really want pretty people, I want people that want to sing and dance and act - I want to create stars," she explains.

Naturally, Moss has pulled in a team to help her realise her vision. Kate Moss Agency will focus first on models, with the help of brand and business manager Camilla Johnson-Hill. Expect to see more fashion and lifestyle brand collaborations, too. Lastly, if there's proof the model-turned-mogul is serious about her brand - it's the news that's she now joined Instagram - well, sort of. Her agency @katemossagency has joined Instagram, posting just one Instagram so far. We expect this won't be the last you hear from Mossy.
