It's fair to say Victoria Beckham has made it. First as a Spice Girl in the late '90s and secondly, in the sophomore phase of her career as fashion designer for her eponymous label. And even though there are several milestones any designer will probably check off - this year we saw the rather major event of her first beauty collection (a partnership with Estée Lauder) - an achievement that would have been enough to satisfy anyone. But, as revealed by Business of Fashion just now, VB is branching out into mass market with a limited edition capsule collection for Target due in April 2017.

Like Missoni, Jean Paul Gaultier, Peter Pilotto, Jason Wu, Rodarte, Altuzarra and more; a collaboration with the mass market chain is not just a mark to show you've made it as a designer, it's also a way to reach people who would never normally wear your clothes. And for someone like Victoria Beckham, that's entirely the point. "The timing just felt right," Beckham told BoF. "I can reach so many more women through working with Target. It's not just because of the price point but because of how many stores that they have, located all around America. I've made no secret of the fact that I wanted to put a collection out there for people who either can't afford designer prices or don't want to pay designer prices."

Breaking: guess who Victoria Beckham is collaborating with now?

Comprised of womenswear and accessories, the line will also include designs for young girls, toddlers and babies - perhaps a nod to Beckham's five year old daughter Harper and even a hint of where she'll head to next. "Kids is something I've wanted to do for a long time," she says. "That may well be the next category that I really go into." Priced between US$6 and $70 it's certainly nowhere near the price tag of her Victoria Beckham and Victoria, Victoria Beckham lines. Said to mirror the spirit of the more youthful Victoria, Victoria Beckham line, the collection is set to drop April 9 in US Target stores and online at target.com.

Sadly, there's no confirmation that it will be available in Australian Target stores (*sob*) BUT, select pieces will be stocked on VB's victoriabeckham.com store. And yes guys, it ships internationally. Mark it in your diaries.
