Each year, the French postal office selects one notable French designer to design stamps for Valentine's Day. In the past, luxury designers like Lanvin, Christian Lacroix and Ysves Saint Laurent have been selected to design the annual heart-shaped stamp, and this year, Balmain's Olivier Rousteing has been recruited.

With black-and-white features and gentle pastels incorporated into the limited edition stamp, Rousting has reflected elements from Balmain's spring 2016 women's ready-to-wear collection.  According to the French postal service, his design; "evokes a poetic and loving spirit, reinforced by its heart shape."

The Balmain-designed stamp will be hitting shelves January 23 in French post offices and online.
