Alessandro Michele's debut Gucci campaign will surprise you
A new direction
In his first campaign for the Italian fashion giant, new Gucci creative director Alessandro Michele collaborated with British photographer Glen Luchford and stylist Joe McKenna. Featuring models Julia Hafstrom and Jack Chambers, the style of the campaign marks a definitivee shift in Gucci's direction under the helm of Michele.
While the campaign features a collection designed by former creative director Frida Gianini, the shots prove Michele has more intellectual, less overtly sexual vision for the fashion house. Reflecting a more naturalised photographic style - even in terms of colour palette - the intimate campaign shots bring a sense of mystery to the brand that presents Gucci in a wholly different light.
