Karl Lagerfeld never fails to disappoint Chanel's runway presentations, as for its SS18 collection during Paris Fashion Week, he brought a gigantic working waterfall to the Grand Palais to serve as its backdrop.

The main look of the collection consisted of a narrow jacket with slightly raised shoulders worn with a fraying miniskirt and a slim waist, while notable accessories included plastic thigh-high boots, rain bonnets, bag shells, dip-dyed messenger bags, logo traveler bags and many others.

Additionally, denim fabric was implemented throughout the line through cutting and fraying, as the collection concluded with a series of delicate white dresses that glimmered in the reflection of the waterfall.

Furthermore, Chanel refers to the aquatic theme as an “ephemeral landscape,” where the elite fashion house hints at the environmental issues facing our world.
