As far as denim goes, you can't get much more classic than a pair of Levi's 501s. Iconic and enduring, it's little wonder the folks at Mr Porter - namely buyer Sam Kershaw - were so keen to lay their hands on the classic 'Red Tab' style. The limited-edition three-piece collection, which is available online at on April 21, features Levi's 501s with a customised and tapered fit.

Mr Porter's Kershaw worked closely with the team at Levi's San Francisco innovation lab, Eureka, to come up with the perfectly customised fit. "We are the first brand partner to ever have design input in to a 501 style," says Kershaw proudly. "It's such an iconic piece, so understandably the Levi's team hold it very dear."

Crafted from Cone Mills' White Oak selvedge denim made in North Carolina, each pair of these unique and all-American threads takes 72 hours to create and feature a Eureka lab stamp on the inside pocket and a large 'E' on the back of the buttons. Nicknamed the  501 CT (Customised and Tapered), you can wear them true-to-size for a relaxed fit on top and tapered leg; sized-down for a slimer fit or up-sized for a more casual look.

They come in a light, medium and indigo wash are priced at approximately $375 each.
