Talk about window dressing - the new Louis Vuitton loves Printemps installation in Paris will light your imagination on fire

According to Louis Vuitton, the world is an ever-expanding universe of sight, sound and sensory exploration - a fact that has never been more apparent since Nicolas Ghesquière took the reins as creative director. Taking the house's 'art of travel' ethos to dizzying new heights season after season, it's no small coincidence that Ghesquière's  A/W '16 collection was his most critically acclaimed yet.

Now, thanks to a collaboration between Paris department store Printemps and LVMH visual image director Faye McLeod, some of Ghesquière's most forward thinking designs will be on display in the eleven windows of the Printemps store on Boulevard Haussmann. These include pieces from the monogrammed World Tour range, A/W '16 ready-to-wear (including those lost lusted-after combat boots worn by Taylor, Selena, Alicia and co. at the Met Gala) and, come September 2, Louis Vuitton's first-ever perfume.

With an LV pop-up store inside, the windows depict a cosmic universe made of sand, stone and other-worldly blue light. "We created a galaxy, a landscape far far away where the collections are shown in the space using special sculpted mannequins that float in space and tripods holding products," explains McLeod. As you'll see in the behind-the-scenes gallery above, the installations offset the product beautifully. The Louis Vuitton X Printemps windows are on display until October 22 - which means if you're lucky enough to be heading to Paris Fashion Week, you'll be able to stop by for a peek.
