Designers of luxury brands like Chanel, Gucci and Saint Laurent aren't just content to rely on models as inspiration - they routinely fall in love with music's coolest frontwomen and invite them into their stylish worlds. While there are too many fashion and music couplings to list in full, we've rounded up the three latest.
Sky Ferreira & Saint Laurent
Back 2011 Saint Laurent creative director Hedi Slimane chose American singer-model-actress Sky Ferreira as his latest muse, photographing her for V Magazine. Ever since then, Ferreira has been closely aligned with the label. In 2013, she was handpicked to appear in ads for the pre-fall collection, then Slimane returned the favour by shooting the impossibly cool singer for the cover of her EP Ghost.

Most recently, Ferreira wore a pair of Saint Laurent's crystal encrusted fishnet tights in her video for 'I Blame Myself' - and it seems the love affair is showing no signs of waning.

Karl Lagerfeld's muse list reads like a proverbial bad girl of rock 'n' roll supergroup. Lily Allen, Florence Welch, Miley Cyrus and Rihanna have all been Lagerfeld's inspiration and clotheshorse at some point. And with a unique duality to her look, The Preatures' Aussie frontwoman Isabella Manfredi is the latest rock chick to join the fray.
Onstage she's all crop-tops, jeans and biker boots, but off-duty she's got an effortless sense of style that money can't buy. And she certainly scrubs up well - in March she was dressed by Lagerfeld for Chanel's autumn/winter '15 show (what a way to be initiated into the world of fashion) and again for the Paris-Salzberg presentation in April.

With her unique Scandinavian style and sound to match, it wasn't long before Swedish songstress Lykke Li took the fancy of Italian luxury label Gucci. As well as appearing in an online campaign for spring/summer '15, the singer starred in a video for the fashion house in March.

Possessing a unique kind of beauty, as well as huge Bambi-like eyes, Li brings Gucci's bohemian '70s aesthetic to life in the dreamy campaign. As an official Gucci muse, Li is in good company - singer Florence Welch was also a one-time Gucci girl who brought her own sense of individualtiy to the Italian brand.
