In honour of the late pro skateboarded Dylan Rieder, Aussie sunnies brand EPØKHE has found a special way to celebrate his legacy

October 12, 2016 was a tragic day for the skateboarding community after it lost one of its brightest, shiniest stars: California native Dylan Rieder. Aged just 28, his untimely passing (from complications arising from leukaemia) was a blow to many, including close friend and EPØKHE co-founder Dion Agius. So it's likely with bittersweet feelings that the cult eyewear brand launched this limited edition pair of sunnies, in memory of their mate Dylan.

These Dylan Rieder-designed sunnies are massively giving back

Named the DYLAN ZERO, the polished marble frames come with a Dylan Rieder tick of approval, after being developed by the late skater before his death. According to Dion, Dylan hunted through thousands of acetate swatches to find the right marbled detail that would suit a female. ("I wanted to design a sleek shaped glass with an evil feel behind them," reads Dylan's description on the EPØKHE site). With a campaign featuring another one of Dylan's close pals Lydia Collins, the limited edition frames are a fitting homage to the skating star, who also dabbled in design and modelling.

Of course, that's not the only touching part about this collab: proceeds from sales of the sunnies will go to the Dylan Rieder Foundation which raises funds for cancer. Now that's what we call shopping with a conscience.

The DYLAN ZERO frames are priced at $230 for the plain black frames and $290 for the black marbleShop or browse the collection now at epokhe.co
