Pardon the pun, but Karen Walker's new summer 2016 eyewear campaign is pointed in precisely the right direction (read: our wallets)
Aside from designing seriously flattering shades beloved by Beyoncé, Gigi Hadid, RiRi and the like, Kiwi designer Karen Walker has a seriously cool approach to fashion: keep it fun. While the coveted celeb following speaks volume for the quality and fit of her eyewear designs, we also love the way the brand's spirited approach keeps the designs fresh.
From collabs with Liberty London to experimentation with colour and shooting dogs wearing her sunnies, Walker's fluid approach to design means she's always changing it up. And then there's her campaigns - always just the right amount of irreverent for our tastes. Case in point: the new 'Arrowed by Karen' collection for summer 2016. Springboarding off her three most cult-favourite shapes (Harvest, Super Duper Strength and Number One), this season the brand introduces four new shapes - Moon Disco, Moonwalk, Star City and Lunar Flowerpatch.
Each style honours the Karen Walker sunglasses signature: the arrow, which is said to "stand for the brand's optimistic spirit, élan and fearlessness," according to Walker. And for spring/summer '16, the acetate frames aren't just available in Crazy Tort and black, but also in shades of rose pink and light grey.
