A recipe for a global smash, of course. I mean, if we had a dollar for every time we spotted a stylish twentysomething carrying one of The Daily Edited's signature monogrammed clutches, well, let's just say we'd be pretty chuffed. And that doesn't even take into account how many flat-lay Instagrams the accessories label appears in...
The brainchild of Aussie girls Alyce Tran and Tania Liu, The Daily Edited has enjoyed stupefying success since its 2011 launch. And now, with the addition of campaign face and collaborator Hailey Baldwin, plus her 6.5 million Instagram followers - we think we can safely say The Daily Edited stocks just skyrocketed.
The Hailey Baldwin collaboration, cutely nicknamed #theHAILEYedited, is a 3-piece capsule collection made up of the label's initial-embossed leather goods. Comprised of a backpack (hello, '90s style), clutch and passport holder, The Hailey edit also includes the model's favourite pieces from the main line. Marked by sleek, understated pieces that reflect Hailey's sporty aesthetic, jetsetting lifestyle and cool-girl style, the collab follows last year's successful Lara Worthington-curated collection.
"I've always loved The Daily Edited's dedication to simple design and a clean aesthetic," says Hailey. "The HAILEY edited is an extension of that, and aligned with my own personal style. I wanted to do a backpack, because sometimes I feel a little more sporty, the reason I wanted to do a clutch was because it's a little more chic." Considering it was her first time designing a capsule collection, the model daughter of Stephen and Kennya Baldwin (and one-time Justin Bieber companion) was heavily involved, all the way from sketch to hardware and colour-palette selection. In particular, she was adamant that the backpack had to fit a 13-inch MacBook Pro inside, which we think is further proof that she's more than just a pretty face and famous surname, don't you think?
#theHAILEYedited launches on Wednesday, July 19, with prices starting from $69.95. Visit thedailyedited.com to shop or browse the collection
