Design of the gods: why you'll want Gucci's new Dionysus bag
Hint: it's bee-utiful
And it doesn't get much sweeter than a handbag emblazoned with a honey bee. Gucci's brand new Dionysus collection is defined by fanciful motifs - a honey bee here, a Gucci floral motif there - but it's the unique tiger-head hardware that really makes it covetable.
The collection gains its name from the eponymous Greek god, who - legend has it - transformed himself into a tiger to carry a nymph across the river Tigris. The striking double tiger-head closure is the bag's defining feature, making a fierce design statement that dials down the pretty.

It's available in suede, python, crocodile and the signature GG Supreme print, but our hands-down favourite is the embroidered bee design, woven using impossibly skinny strips of silk-wrapped brass thread. Legendary stuff indeed.
