Proving that love for Disney is indeed eternal, Coach presents their take on Mickey Mouse's iconic ears in this super-cute new collection

If you were ever in doubt that Coach creative director Stuart Vevers is fully committed to rejuvenating the iconic leatherwear brand, this should convince you. The new limited edition Disney x Coach collaboration merges two American icons - Coach bags and Mickey Mouse - for a men's and women's leather goods and ready-to-wear collection that is like no other.

Timed to celebrate Coach's 75th anniversary this year, Disney x Coach is just one of many pop-culture cool projects the brand has hiding up its sleeve. Thanks to specially designed sketches by Disney artists, an exclusive rendition of Mickey Mouse's famous ears appear across leather bags (such as the Saddle and Dinky styles) and clothing.

Coach meets Disney: inside their cool collab

Since taking the reins of the accessories label, Stuart Vevers has injected an air of spirited youthfulness to the once ailing brand, finding clever and cool ways to partner the brand with millennial-led events like Coachella. And this Disney collab is no different. "Mickey Mouse is one of my earliest memories of American pop - his nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon," he says of the collab. "I've always seen Mickey as a playful rebel at heart and a timeless symbol of joy and creativity. That spirit reinforces the new youthful perspective we are bringing to luxury at Coach."

The collection was launched in Coach's Soho store with the help of influential Love editor-in-chief Katie Grand - a longtime friend of British-born Vevers. Grand curated the Soho space and also created a bespoke Coach/Love T-shirt to celebrate. Thankfully, you won't have to wait too long to get your hands on one of these quirky collector's items.

The Disney x Coach collection will be available globally from June 17 and at Coach's Australian stores in St Collins Lane, Emporium and Chadstone in Melbourne and Sydney's QVB. You can also shop the collection online at coachaustralia.com
