As the most Googled jewellery item in the world (followed by the Tiffany engagement ring) the Cartier love bracelet has evolved from a sixties status symbol after its creation in 1969 to a Millennial must-have today.

The bracelet's wrist-hugging fit, fastened on with two tiny screws for permanence was designed to symbolise the everlasting circle of love. Its minimalist, modern design has certainly inspired adoration from the most discerning of wearers: Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton, Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw, Angelina Jolie, Scarlett Johanssen and Kylie Jenner.

December 1st will see the release of a variation on the classic available at the Sydney flagship boutique, (followed by Melbourne and Brisbane boutiques from January 20th) a refined, delicate design expressed in a narrower band.

If Google is anything to go by, there's no greater way to say 'I love you'.
