Anything this luxe Italian accessories house does is guaranteed to go directly to cult status and their latest jungle-inspired collection is true to form

Milan's Palazzo Cusani provided an unexpected green oasis in the heart of the urban jungle for Furla's S/S '17 collection launch held during Milan Fashion Week. The aptly titled Field of Imagination preview involved all the senses: sight, touch, smell and sound - with music by Japanese sound designer Yosi Horikawa giving guests the full immersive experience in the inspiration behind the collection.

The stunning collection features fifty exclusive jungle/pop prints on bags, shoes and textiles, all inspired by nature.  The 'Metropolis Jungle' pieces showcase the faces of six primates each representing specific characteristics: from the elegance of the panther, to the strength of the lion, to the intelligence of the monkey, to the irony of the zebra and the joy of the parrot. The classic calfskin Furla 'Vittoria' bucket bags pop with brightly coloured prints calling on Furla's imaginary flora and fauna.  And Furla's soft multifunctional backpacks provide the perfect adventure accessory, whether around town or the globe - via a simple switch of the closing mechanism transitioning the bag to hobo style.

The collection also includes statement shoes decked out in the designs and prints of the collection, from luxe, lightweight ballerina flats to casually chic espadrilles. This Italian craftsman label is always at the forefront of fashion - their A/W '16 campaign was fronted by Aussie model on-the-rise, Jordan Barrett, and this newest collection taps the current cool-kid psyche of crossing the urban jungle with elegant yet subversive eco style.

Furla's S/S '17 collection will be available February 2017 from furla.com
