Bottega Veneta’s killer handbag edit for S/S ’16
Quality and craftsmanship are words thrown around a lot by luxury brands. But for a fortunate few, they're the foundations upon which a loyal following is built. For Bottega Veneta, the Italian label born in the late '60s, this commitment to precision-cut detailing and impeccable quality means its accessories, particularly its leather handbags, need little introduction. And this season, two of its most iconic pieces - the bucket bag and knot clutch - have been rendered in stunning animal-print detail.
For S/S '16 Bottega Veneta's timeless knot clutch (above) has been crafted with a multi-colour Intarsia motif using Toscana exotic leathers and crocodile - to luxurious and unique effect. The label's version of the bucket bag (below) - a handbag style popularised in the '70s and '80s that's now enjoying another fashion moment - boasts a rich cherry-red Vesuvio crocodile skin that's equally hard to resist.
The same style bucket bag also features in the latest campaign, shot as part of the latest instalment of Bottega Veneta's Art of Collaboration series. Helmed by Dutch photographer Viviana Sassen, the campaign features white-hot model Mica Arganaraz, flanked by this standout pieces from Tomas Maier's urban nomad-inspired spring/summer '16 collection. We have just two words to sum it up: we want.
