Apple’s new iPhone SE and iPad Pro have some MAJOR changes
In customary Apple fashion (as in, with little warning) Apple dropped a new iPhone SE and 9.7-inch iPad Pro into the world this morning – and the changes are eye opening to say the least
Sometimes, when it seems like the folks at Apple aren't listening to your First World-world iPhone woes, they go and surprise you with something NO ONE, not even the tech geeks of the interwebs could have predicted. Hands up who couldn't get fit their iPhone 6 and 6S into their back pocket/teeny tiny handbag? If you were one of the many who grumbled about the increasing size of the iPhone you'll love this - Apple's new iPhone SE has dropped back to a 4-inch display!
Available in the four new colours (space grey, silver, gold and rose gold metallic) and in 16GB and 564GB models, the iPhone SE takes us back to the iPhone 5 size, but with all the latest specs. Think: 64-bit A9 chip, 12-megapixel camera, Live Photos, 4K video, Touch ID and Apple Pay. So basically, think of this as the whole iPhone 6S package, just in, er, a smaller package. Available for pre-order from March 24 and in stores from March 31, for more details on the iPhone SE, head to apple.com/au
And, lest we forget the baby boomer and toddlers who love the huge iPad screens, Apple have released a new version of the iPad Pro in a smaller, lighter, more handbag friendly 9.7 inch size. Packing a punch in features - 12-megapixel camera, faster wireless capabilities and a new Pro Retina display, the latest version of Apple's tablet has everything the 12-inch iPad (released last year) has - just in a compact size.
Given that the mini iPad is Apple's most popular sized tablet, we'd say it was a rather canny move on the California company's behalf. Like the iPhone SE, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro is available from March 31 with pre-orders opening March 24.
