It's the most wonderful time of the year that is just as much about giving as receiving. Chances are by now you have already picked up a couple of miniature succulents and a few scented candles, popped a bow around them and put them under the tree. For dad you may have picked out one of these (we suggest you do), and if you really want to impress your mum or sister, the Buro 24/7 luxe gift guide has everything you need. But nothing, and I mean nothing, will compare to the gift that George Clooney gave to fourteen of his friends in 2013.

Randy Gerber (yep, Kia Gerber's dad, AKA Mr. Cindy Crawford) spoke to MSNBC's Hardliners of Clooney's generosity one night when he invited a group of his friends over for dinner. When they got there, black luggage bags were placed for each of them at the table. Clooney apparently gave a speech about the gratitude he had for each of his friends, and then asked them to open the bags. "We open it up, and it's a million dollars in $20 bills. Every one of us - 14 of us - got a million dollars," said Gerber. "He goes, 'I know we've all been through some hard times, some of you are still going through it. You don't have to worry about your kids, you don't have to worry about, you know, school, you don't have to worry about paying your mortgage.'" The friends were (understandably) in shock.

If you need us, we'll be figuring out a way to get into George Clooney's friendship circle.

You won’t believe the gift George Clooney gave to all of his friends
