Many people on Twitter are claiming that that the Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's love story isn't just the modern day fairy tale romance we deserve, but also a storyline straight out of the film Love Actually.

Many fans are convinced that the newly engaged couple are basically grown up versions of the 2003 Christmas cult classic's young characters Sam and Joanna. Some are even going as far to say that the rom-com predicted Harry and Meghan's love 15-years ago - and the seemingly crazy hypothesis actually has some weight to it.

Sam - played by Thomas Brodie-Sangster - and Harry are both redheaded and British, while both Joanna - played by Olivia Olson - and Meghan are biracial and American.

But apart from their striking resemblances, the similarities between the movie couple and the royal pair don't end there. Sam tragically lost his mother at a young ago, just like Harry, while Joanna is a talented arts performer, just like Meghan.

But that's not even the best part. In the film Sam gushes over Joanna, telling his Dad Daniel, who is played by Liam Neeson: "There was [one person] for Kate and Leo. There was for you. There is for me." The 13-year-old even goes as far to admit: "I'm in love." Which is just like Harry, who knew right away that Meghan was "the one." When the Prince was asked by the BBC when he knew that Meghan was his betrothed, he answered, "The first time we met."

So does that make the royal couple's engagement the sequel to Love Actually, or is Love Actually the prequel to Harry and Meghan's love story? Either way, we approve.
