Casting JonBenet is the soon-to-be released Netflix documentary based on the unsolved murder mystery of JonBenet Ramsey. Ahead of its world debut at this year's Sundance Film Festival, Netflix have launched the first teaser trailer for the doco, which is said to be a "hybrid" between the murder and also the myths that surfaced within parents and children over the last twenty years.

The trailer begins with eight JonBenet look-alikes waiting to audition for the role of the 6-year-old; with one blue-eyed, blonde-haired girl (who has an uncanny resemblance to the pageant queen) say to the camera: "Do you know who killed JonBenet Ramsey?" (Total goose-bump moment.)

The doco was directed by Kitty Green, who travelled to the Ramsey's hometown in Colorado to gain insight into the impact it had on the local community. According to Netflix, the documentary "examines how this crime and its resulting mythologies have shaped the attitudes and behaviour of successive generations of parents and children. "This will be delivered through interviews, reflections, and performances, says The Hollywood Reporter.
