As the Spice Girls would say or did say in their hit song Stop, "Stop right now thank you very much" - this news is MAJOR. But it also makes sense. Of course the biggest UK pop group from Prince Harry's heyday (the '90s) would reunite to perform at his wedding to gorgeous actress Meghan Markle.

It wouldn't be a proper English royal wedding without one of the most iconic UK music acts of all time reuniting to entertain the royal couple. Prince William and Princess Kate had Ellie Goulding perform at their wedding, so Prince Harry naturally should have the Spice Girls.

Mel B (aka Scary Spice) broke the news when she went on American TV talk show The Real yesterday (overnight our time) and according to TMZ, "...had a very hard time keeping anything secret about the group's involvement with the royal wedding." Mel B apparently said they'd all been invited to the wedding by Prince Harry and Meghan and that they'd also agreed to provide some, "wedding entertainment."

Rumours have been swirling that the girls were getting back together for a reunion tour but there have been a few false starts mainly due to Victoria Beckham's, or Posh Spice, apparent reluctance given how busy she already is. What with her very successful eponymous fashion label, moving around the world to accommodate husband David's soccer schedule and also being a mum to their four children - who could blame her for not wanting to commit to a world tour?

TMZ reports the reunion is happening, but until formal confirmation comes through, Spice Girl fans can be satisfied that the crew are getting back together for at least one very important performance.

Stop right now! Guess who’s performing at the royal wedding?
