A famous surname is certainly a huge 'in' when casting agents call and in many cases a call isn't even necessary - with celebrity kids often accompanying their famous parents to the film set, recording studio or fashion FROW. Recent celebrity offspring  who've hit the bright lights of Hollywood, fashion or music include Dakota Johnson, Lily Collins, Paris Jackson, Georgia May Jagger, Lily Rose Depp, Zoë Kravitz and the Hadid sisters. But until very recently the surname 'Gibson' was associated with just one gent: Mel.

The high profile actor/director garners a ton of air time for his controversial views and behind-the-scenes behaviour, however no one can dispute what a talent he is. His recent directing effort, Hacksaw Ridge won two Oscars (film editing and sound mixing) and although he didn't get the little gold statue, Gibson did get the nom for best director. And it turns out he's not the only Gibson name to know. Mel has nine offspring from three different relationships - his oldest is 37 and his youngest was born earlier this year - so it seems inevitable that atleast one of those Gibson kids would have got the acting gene. Step forward Milo Gibson.

Milo, the 27-year-old son of Mel and his first wife Robyn Moore, bears a striking resemblance to his famous dad and despite initially resisting the Tinseltown call (he worked as an electrician for a number of years) made his acting debut in Hacksaw Ridge last year and has just finished filming two movies, All the Devil's Men and Breaking & Exiting. Speaking to W Magazine about his decision to go into acting, Milo says, "When you're growing up and you're not pushed in that direction, it makes you feel like if you do go in that direction, it might not be okay... But as I got older, I realised that it was my life, and I wanted to act because I love it."
